Artist Bio: Huang Chen is a female art lover who is exploring art, often lives in Guangdong and Macau, and is currently studying for a postgraduate at the University of Macau. Most of his works are photography, digital media, and design.

Work Statement:
This work uses the concept of "gaze"; to explore the relationship between self and other, subject and object, reality and illusion. The girl is both the subject and the object of the gaze. She sees her own image through the mirror and is also seen by herself in the mirror. When she wears makeup, she tries to change her appearance to conform to societal or personal expectations and standards of beauty. She looks for her own identity and affirmation in the mirror, but she also faces the tension and contradiction between reality and illusion.
